“Over the years we have stayed in almost every fine hotel in Newport. We have made the Castle Hill Inn our regular habit. This hotel is in a beautiful historic mansion on the ocean inlet and a is short walk to the oceanfront state park. The staff is helpful and eager to please, reminiscent of other top tier hotels. The massive oceanside lawn has many Adirondack style chairs to enjourage outdoor rest or socializing. There are indoor and outdoor bars that accomidate every taste even non-alcoholic……

“From the moment we checked in we felt well taken care of. The staff is extremely attentive and makes your stay so special. The room was beautiful, clean and we loved the decor. Breakfast was a major highlight at the hotel each morning (not included in price) but well worth it. Block island room comes with a personal sauna and hot tub. Both were very clean. They also offered the hotel car to take us to the downtown Newport area, but we walked every time we went which was a one mile easy walk……

“It was clean and close to many restaurants and other activities. The communication was very good prior to arrival. The kitchen was dark. Some of the lighting didn’t work in the kitchen and several light bulbs were out or missing in other locations in the property which was unfortunate. Otherwise, a great experience.”
