“I have been visiting this hotel since 2012. This is my 4th visit. This is a beautiful hotel, with lovely rooms and deep plunge bathtubs nestled in the snowy forest. But what makes this the most amazing hotel is the staff and the service. As someone who travels the world for business rarely have I seen such honest hospitality and attentiveness. From laying our your warm ski boots out in the morning before you set off for the day, to welcoming you home after the day with your warm dry boots……

“The hotel’s location is fantastic and the view is superb. However, there’s still room for improvement in respect of service. Whenever we requested something, we were attended to in piecemeal fashion. Staff’s level of English may need to be improved. In addition, the bathtub was not equipped with shower gel or shampoo, and there is no TV in the bathroom. The TV also do not have Netflix or Apple TV functions. The theme of the room is also not Japanese enough, for which I cannot tell any visible……
