“We had never been to Ghana and liked the sound of staying at a Cultural Center and Hotel. Akpe was not a standard American hotel, but it was amazing in many ways. Safety was never a concern, even while walking around the village during all times of the day. The hotel is a few blocks from the beach, but we really enjoyed walking through the village, mingling with the shop owners and meeting the people on the way to the beach. The beach was stunning and we really enjoyed our time in and around……

You do not really have access to the beach. Its beyond a chain link fence with security. It is a public beach with hawkers and the like and not well kept. If you're hoping for a beach experience, this is not it. The pool is pleasant though. I had a bug incident, which staff came and handled quickly by spraying the room with me in it. Had……
