“It had been about 30 years since we had been to Maine, and this was a great choice for our return visit. Cozy cabin! Pines, pines, and more pines. Sounds of the ocean at night. So peaceful (except for workmen at the neighboring property, but we weren't around most of the day, so it wasn't a terrific problem.) Ferry wasn't running, but the drives were beautiful, so no complaints there. Had a lovely and relaxing vacation, which was the objective. Seeing the Northern Lights (without a ton of light……

“The pictures don’t do this justice. It’s a perfectly lovely camp (if you’re a Mainer, you know this term), and the views and peace and quiet can’t be beat. The camp is easy to find, cozy, comfortable and clearly has such wonderful memories from Laura’s family. We picked this place because it’s right between Lubec/Campobello Island and Bar Harbor/Acadia, with easy driving access to both places. Laura was very kind and contact with her was prompt and friendly. We wouldn’t change a thing about this……

“Great rustic lodging. Helpful and friendly host. Beautiful area and close to many hiking trails in parks and preserves. Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). ”

“I loved the concept. However, it was a muddy mess to get back there. I don’t mind mud but you can’t carry everything back with you. I think they could put a path way with wood berms or hravel. I fell and slid in mud so walking back with a clean change of clothes impossible because your most definiy gonna fall i. the mud. loved the animals though”

“We loved stargazing from the deck - amazing night sky (especially with binoculars)! The cabin was very comfortable and had adequate supplies for cooking basic meals. The location is VERY remote, which we frequently look for. A mid-point for exploring both Acadia/Bar Harbor and the Bold Coast - Quoddy Head, Lubec, Western Head Preserve and East Port.”

“I'm still a little speechless! Alice and Kyle were amazing house, check in and check out were a breeze, the cottage was clean and the amenities exceeded of expectations. ”

“This is a rustic, true off-grid stay. The property is absolutely stunning and the new owners clearly care about the camp itself and are working to to update and refresh it a bit. I did have a bit of trouble finding it and due to the lack of pics and directions when I booked, it just took a bit longer. I believe that has been updated. Garrett was great, super friendly and had great communication. Beautiful stay - I needed to get out into nature and I was able to do so. Absolutely would stay again……

“Quiet and Secluded. We had a great time sitting around the fire, great memories, very clean, The kids had a great time. The top bunk mattress was fine for my 8 year old but would have been a bit stiff for me. My older son slept on the futon he loved it. Plenty of towels, The water heater is a small one but we could each get nice hot showers if we waited a bit between. It would reheat quickly for the next shower. ”

“we had a great experience and the owners are kind and helpful. They prepared us for that place within an hour. It wasn't easy to reach that place (due to the gravel road). Other than that, the place is nice.”

“The best place on earth. Hidden away on the shore of Flanders Pond we had the spectacular view of the ever changing pond and the utter peace and quiet of nature all around us. We bird watched,enjoy watching the chipmunks and squirrels and looked forward to a pair of beavers who returned to their den each day at dusk. The house was perfect and impeccably furnished and decorated. Heaven on earth”
