“Pros: Very quiet, clean and comfortable. The bed was great (despite some other reviewers dislikes) and the check-in process was relatively easy. Just a short drive to Camden and Rockland and most everything is right off of the main road in both towns. Cons: There is a main office there, but they do not do anything with regards to reservations. There is no way to check-in early or discuss anything reservation related with someone in person on the site, you are required to go through the……

“Property was clean, quiet and well maintained. Location is outstanding for exploring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Morning coffee on the cove was a stellar experience. Definitely a 10 out of 10 for us. Highly recommend. ”

“The location is great, very secluded and private. Amazing views right out the bedroom window. Has that remote cabinet feel on the inside. It's about an hour away from Bar Harbor which was perfect for us to make a day trip down there.Also local oysters and lobster are abundant. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the shower, it was either way too hot or way too cold, should be a simple fix to switch the controls.”

“We take an annual trip to the Penobscot to fish. This cabin looked perfect with access from a small stream. It’s kind of small, three people means somebody is on the couch or in a tent. Beautiful post and beam and the property is very well cared for.We only had two problems.First, you can’t tell from the description, but the stream is 75’ down a steep little path. Consider that if you plan on launching any kayaks or canoes. You have to get them back up the hill. We needed a truck and a long……

“First, I would I like to say Vacasa is amazing to work with they helped us out tremendously. Also, always get travel insurance. Now, for the part I honestly wish I didn’t have to write a review about. I was sooo excited when I seen this cabin and I snatched it up as quick as I could. The pictures were beautiful that were showed. But to me that did not depict the inside of the house. We got there I had an uneasy feeling. Was told we could come early because the cleaning crew had gotten there……

“I stayed there with my daughter-in-law and granddaughter who had never been to Maine before. We loved this place, hated to leave there this morning. Views, accessibility to beaches, etc all wonderful. I highly recommend this place. ”

“The cottage was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, We really enjoyed and made good use of the fire pit. It was all set up and ready to light. Southwest Harbor is my favorite place to stay on the island. It is much less touristy than Bar Harbor but still has some good dining options as well as a nice coffee shop. We had a great stay.”
