“Enjoyed being more in the country, yet easy to drive to Portland and to Manchester. Loved having the pool table. Barn is terrific! Lots of room to spread out. Beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Loved the owner's mom. She was very welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay!”

“Maple Moon Farm is perfectly historic and you can tell within 5 minutes of meeting him that the owner of the farm, Frank, loves history and loves his property.Check in was easy, and communication with Frank was spectacular. He was responsive to all messages I sent him.The icing on the cake was the tour of the farm and sugar house which turned into a great educational experience. If you like historic buildings and all the quirks that come with them then this is the place stay. Highly recommend!”

“Our grown children who live in neighboring states met us in Maine for a long weekend together. The house has lots of vintage charm and a welcoming soul. The kitchen, dining and living rooms were the perfect size for our group. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Everyone but me slept well (I'm a VERY high maintenance sleeper and should have brought my own pillows) The property is beautiful and secluded. The ocean is very close but not noisy this area is more of an estuary than……

“This is a room in a lovely old farmhouse. I thought the description could have been more detailed: I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The room is on the second floor; the bathroom is private but down a short hallway. The property is in the country and very quiet. Restaurants and stores are in Ellsworth, and easy 20-25 minute drive. Hosts are lovely and not intrusive. ”
