“We had a lovely stay at the Grape Escape. While it is truly roughing it, all our needs were met and the host was easy to contact if we needed anything. Hammondsport was an awesome town, with nice options for food, drinks, and vibes. Great food everywhere we tried, but Portside Bistro was our favorite. ”

“Great area close to nearby essential if needed.Peaceful,good view of stars at night.Plenty of wood was cut and dry under some trees next to cabin to keep fire going.Pond has alot of frogs, kept daughter busy.Inside was clean and had fresh linens pillows and towels.Easy nights rest ! Would recommended! Great hosts.Nobody bothered us!! ”

“We loved the fact you could see so many stars! We hadn’t seen that many stars in a very long time. We slept like logs. Thanks for letting our pups stay too. ”

“The grounds were surrounded by native beautiful flowers and a flock of sheep resided there as well with 2 beautiful dedicated watchdogs. Peaceful and tranquil location made it feel like a real getaway with only a short drive away to the Watkins glen sites. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. ”

“I really loved the place and will book again for a longer period of time. We come to the Wellsboro area twice per year (my happy place) just to relax, eat, and do a "thing or two", and this was the first time staying out of town. We loved it!!!”

Communication with the host was pleasant and they sent all details well in advance of our check in so that we could be prepared. “My husband & I loved it! Such a quiet area and the cabin was well appointed. Nancy the owner had paper plates, plastic cups, paper towels, plastic silverware, wine glasses, wine bottle opener, some bottled water in the fridge and some ice cubes in the freezer. Plus a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, comfy beds, lots of pillows, TV with cable, ac and a fan. Our private bathroom had everything - bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, first aid kit, hair dryer. A cool porch to sit on and see……
