“This is a very well appointed modern cottage that was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The little lake was so nice and peaceful that we ended up not trailering the boat over to Lake James for the last day like we had planned, but just stayed here instead. “The cottage provided us everything we needed. It was easy to get in and out and the owner was very responsive to requests. I have not had a gas stove since I was a kid living at home and I found that cooking on it was like riding a bike. It gave me a bit of nostalgia as well.The location was great for us. Close to town, and to our own cottage that is currently gutted. Also easy drive into the Lake James/Jimmerson area - which of course you need to arrive to Tom's Donuts early if you don't……

“This house is beautiful! Our big family stayed a long weekend and had more than enough space for all of us. Seven adults and seven kids ages 5 months to seven!The space was perfect for us! The lake area was a little confusing as there is no “yard” but there is a nice fire pit at the dock! The dock does not have a ladder making it impossible to get in and out of the water for the adults and kids which was a huge downside, we ended up using the neighbors ladder, which has signs saying not to use.……

“1st vacation in years for "us Grandparents". Honestly, just looking towards the western sunset made our stay excellent. My wife and I only drove a couple of hours for this stay and we would have traveled much further (if needed). Overall, it felt like a home (away from home) for us.
