“The room was clean. It was quite warm when I got in, but the AC worked fine. The staff were friendly. The parking lot was small, but had plenty of spaces while I was there. The main reason I went for this hotel was location. It's right off Highway 1, near downtown Santa Cruz, & only a 10-15 min drive to Aptos where I had an event. I wouldn't say much is walking distance, but only a short drive. I did miss the turn the first time, but once I figured it out it was very easy to find. The pool was……

“7 points, but Danny was the best thing about the hitching post. Very friendly and welcoming. And it smelled good in the office. He remembered us. We like the activism center next door. There was a band there which we were invited to. We can easily access the bus back to 17 and to the beach. We love grocery outlet, the microwave and the fridge. Checking in is so simple, and I was so exhausted. The bed was huge and comfy. My only complaint was too much bleach on the sheets. ”

“We loved how close this is to the Boardwalk! Room was clean, bathroom seemed upgraded, water pressure was great in the shower and got hot quickly. Beds weren't super comfy but they were good enough. Like others said, the parking is tight and on a hill/slope so must be comfortable with your vehicle. The walls are thin so it's a little noisy at night with the nightlife outside but we picked this place to be able to walk to the Boardwalk and not have to find parking. Downtown Santa Cruz is less……
