“We love our trips to downtown and staying at The Proper. Service, food, hospitality and rooms are consistently top tier. The only issue we had was upon checking out we asked the front desk to hold our bags and they were left in the open until we returned from lunch. At that point staff had placed them in the lost and found. We were informed that the staffer didn’t properly check our bags in. Fortunately they were safe but we did worry they were lost for a second while they were located.”

“This is such a unique place. All the furnishings are one of a kind- not like chain hotels. Every little nuance of your stay is made so nice- from the welcome note to the marvelous continental breakfast with a fancy coffeemaker. We especially want to commend the front desk clerk, Winston who made us feel so welcome after a too long day traveling. ”
