“Fabulous location and quaint charm! House was clean, literally right on the water, easy to find, and great location to Hoodsport and easy access to lots of hiking. Kitchen was very well stocked, and we spent a lot of time sitting outside enjoying the gorgeous views. Might be good to know that the house does have AC but it’s only in the living room. We managed with the fans provided in the bedrooms (and appreciated them!) but easy to see how the bedrooms could get pretty toasty during the warmer……

“I was looking for a quiet space with a view and that’s exactly what I got! Beautiful views from the huge back porch and some seals visited near the shore! At low tide you can find lots of shells and see some starfish. I would stay here again. It is also dog-friendly and my pups had a great time running up and down the shore.”

“Only negative was the loud construction next door, from 7am until 6pm…but we took several day excursions, so wasn’t too difficult to deal with. Jeff was a wonderful and very helpful host!”

“We have stayed at several properties on the hood canal and all agree that this is the one we will return to. The home is vibrantly decorated, accentuating the endless views through the doors and windows, well appointed with everything we needed, and spacious enough to accommodate 6 adults and a small dog. We spent our days outside, watching the seals and fisherman, harvesting and grilling oysters, and kayaking. The proximity to town was a big bonus. Yes, as some have noted, there is road……

The house has central heat and air, while we did not need it, it is GREAT to have when you do need it!The host was very responsive. “The property was lovely with beautiful views of the water. It was very private and perfect for a weekend getaway. The only hiccup was the WiFi. It was too weak to make it through a movie using either our computers or their own ROKU system. Loading was slow. They need to up their WiFi strength and put in extenders so that you can use the WiFi in the back bedroom. Otherwise are stay was perfect.”

“We had a magical time at this beautiful cabin! We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful lake, had it nearly to ourselves the whole stay! We paddle boarded and kayaked and dozed in the sunshine on the dock.The one big detractor was the air beds had holes in them, and the host said the pullout couch was uncomfortable, so it was a little tricky to sleep 3 friends comfortably. ”
