“We were just visiting Charlottesville and the surrounding area for a few days during Spring Break. We live in northern VA and have spent time in the area, but more for work and less for fun. The cottage was great, clean, and calming. The hosts were responsive and friendly as well. If you’re looking for a place somewhat off the beaten path but close enough to all the things to do in the area, this is a great spot! If you love horses, Ruby is super friendly and will come say hello anytime!”

Watching the sunrise every morning come over the mountain was just amazing. If you are looking to get away to a place that's quiet, peaceful and tranquil then you need to stay at John's. The creek runs through the property and is a lovely walk. We will definitely be coming back. ”

“Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the stay on this lovely farm! The cottage is authentic, comfortable, and well-equipped. Our boys most enjoyed playing with the friendly family pets, as well as taking a stroll through the fields to see some farm animals. The hosts also have a restaurant in town where we had a delightful meal during our stay. My only regret is that our schedule was so full of events that we didn't have even more time to spend in this beautiful and relaxing atmosphere.”
