The hot tub was a great way to finish the day after spending hours hiking the amazing scenery of the area, in particular the trails around the Linville Gorge. “ 1 mile gravel road driving up a mountain at 10 - 15 mph to nice, clean, well furnished mountain home. Plan shopping ahead of time or drive 15 minutes to Walmart or longer to neighboring towns. Other local grocery stores closed, damaged from Helen. Dress for being on a mountain, it gets cold quickly. Drive to hiking trails, no hiking trail directly from rental. Start at the Spruce Pine Museum of North Carolina Minerals with 300 area mineral varieties on display. Museum also has a tourist……

“This home was exactly as advertised, which is not always the case, but certainly was here. Very quiet, friendly neighborhood as well. Many rentals up here do not have A/C, but due to the unusually high humidity this weekend, we were definitely glad this one did. Simply loved everything about this rental.
