“ 1 mile gravel road driving up a mountain at 10 - 15 mph to nice, clean, well furnished mountain home. Plan shopping ahead of time or drive 15 minutes to Walmart or longer to neighboring towns. Other local grocery stores closed, damaged from Helen. Dress for being on a mountain, it gets cold quickly. Drive to hiking trails, no hiking trail directly from rental. Start at the Spruce Pine Museum of North Carolina Minerals with 300 area mineral varieties on display. Museum also has a tourist……

“This was such a nice house! My son, husband and I stayed here for 3 days. It was great! There were condiments and so much stuff for us to use, which was nice coming from out of state and not wanting to buy all the things that we would just use a little of. The place smelled so clean and fresh! They were great about communication every step of the booking and check in. We plan on coming back with my other family members next time. There was lots of extra room!”

“The cabin itself is one of the nicer properties we’ve stayed in. Clean, tons of space, and beautiful surroundings. My kids absolutely loved the creek and played there for hours. We had a great time in the evening around the fire pit. The only (slightly) negative thing I have on this listing is that I thought it would be truly private. Across the bridge there is a building where we had a few ppl in and out of. Not a big deal, but we were hoping we’d be by ourselves in the middle of nowhere.……

“We stayed here while attending the New Manna Youth Rally at Ridgecrest. We found this be the perfect retreat for a wonderfully spiritual weekend. The home was secluded, peaceful, and free of the world's distractions. The home is well maintained, clean and fully accommodated with anything you could need. So much better than a Hotel. If there was a downside it would be the driveway leading up to the home. But that was a small price to pay for the wonderful stay we had. ”

“The villa was perfect for our quick stay. Kitchen and house well stocked for dining in and really enjoyed the pool and fire pit just steps away. This is our favorite area in the mountains and to have the top of the ridge to look out either direction was wonderful. We will be back yearly! Brenda was available for any questions and was very accommodating to our requests. Loved laying in bed with the screen door open while the rain set a lovely background noise to my reading time. ”
