“The home and surrounding property were perfect for our stay in the mountains of North Carolina. The owners prepared a bouquet of fresh flowers and cookies for us upon our arrival, which was a very nice surprise hurricane Helene took out the stairs leading down to the creek, which made it a little more difficult than we anticipated to get down to the creek, but we found many other things to do, and there are many places in the area where you can access the water. I would highly recommend this……

“Everything about our stay was perfect. Our host Shirley was amazing and made us immediately feel at home. The cottage is beautiful and sits on lovely grounds surrounded by an amazing garden. The location is walking distance to a quaint town and provides easy on -off access to the highway making it convenient to access all attractions and downtown Asheville. ”

“We had a great time at "Tranquility". Wonderful view, comfy king beds, super clean throughout, well-equipped kitchen. Every need was provided! Host was very responsive and helpful. And the area is wonderful for hikes, activities, etc.”

“This home was exactly as advertised, which is not always the case, but certainly was here. Very quiet, friendly neighborhood as well. Many rentals up here do not have A/C, but due to the unusually high humidity this weekend, we were definitely glad this one did. Simply loved everything about this rental. Next time we are in the area, we will check the availability here first. Thanks for a great weekend!!!”

“Loved the upstairs game area with the arcade games and super cozy sectional! Kids stayed upstairs and grownups downstairs and all the decor was modern. Amenities provided! Our only downside was the driveway was a bit difficult for smaller cars. Wouldn’t select unless you drive an SUV. ”

“After sitting 8-hours in a car, my legs were stiff. I walked into the entrance and started to lean to the right. At first I was not sure if it was me or what. I had to laugh, it reminded me of Cosmo, in South Dakota. If you have ever been there, you will know what I mean. The floors lean left/right. You go up hill and downhill in the same room. And doors and walls lean another way. It did not take long to adapt to the quirky floors. The house was clean. Furniture used, but comfy. The yard could……

“My husband and I came with our 2 teenage children again this year. They participated in the Compass program at Montreat College and we stayed close by in this cabin. This was our 2nd time staying in this home and it met all our needs. The owners communicated quickly, kindly, and professionally on the few questions we had. The beds are comfy and it's dark and quiet which makes for good sleep. We enjoyed driving to the Golds Gym in Asheville for workouts as well as walking early in the……

“Very nice property. If you want private and beautiful location, this is it. Nearest town to buy groceries is Burnsville so get what you need before heading up to property. The only improvement I can think off would be to screen off that corner of the front porch where the bed is….I would have slept out there but scared a spider might get me!”
