“We went for a long weekend with friends. The kids played non stop. The slide, creek, river, hot tub and game room were all big hits! The weather was perfect and we basically lived on the porch. The kitchen is well equipped and the kitchenettes in 2 bedrooms are helpful for extra fridge space. The property is peaceful with plenty of room for playing a game of kickball. Drew was a great host and very responsive! We will definitely keep on our list for future trips.”

“My husband and I stayed in this charming home, and for the weekend had our son and his family join us. The beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen equipped so I could prepare a big taco meal and eat out on the patio in the evening. We all enjoyed the screened porch and the big yard, playing hide and seek with the grandkids. We left just before the hurricane and hope that this home did not suffer the damage to the area.”

“The property is great. Clean, nicely decorated, comfortable beds and furniture. Lots of extra spaces to hang out. The location is great. Only about 7 minutes to downtown Black Mountain. The only thing negative I can say is the kitchen could use a few more items if someone is expecting to cook much. There was also a security camera pointed at the hot tub. There is an ATD security system on the property, but it felt a bit weird. Lastly, I'm so happy this is a pet friendly home. Our dog loved it,……

“Property was cute, clean, and just what we needed for our short stay in Old Fort. It was also very convenient to downtown and Catawba Falls. The homemade bread, fresh farm eggs, and coffee were an added special touch that we appreciated very much. ”

“Property was very comfortable. Was the most comfortable couch I had sat on in a long time. The king size bed was also very comfortable. We had everything we needed there available for us. Would have liked for the fireplace to have worked we did not use the amenities due to it being cold and raining. ”

“We chose to stay at the Toe River Retreat based upon the views and outdoor space, beautiful interior and cool garage rec space...and it did not dissapoint! When we arrived the interior was every bit as welcoming as it looked in the pictures, and it was very clean and the furniture was very comfortable. However, we really did not stay inside much because the outdoor space was awesome and the views were amazing and ever changing. It was the first place I went when I woke up and after each days……
