“We had a great time at the Hemlock Creek Cabin! The sound of the creek in the distance made sitting on the deck a real pleasure. The view was not spectacular but there were some really neat places that we were able to hike to nearby including 3 ponds. Unfortunately we were not able to catch any fish in either the ponds or the creek but we had fun nonetheless. We made trips to Linville Caverns and Linville Falls (45 mins away) as well as the Nantahala Outdoor Center to white water raft on the……

I took that to mean that there was river access directly behind the house. A clarifying statement that river is accessible by a short drive would have been helpful. “The lake house was amazing!! We celebrated our 40th anniversary with our family. Our grandkids had such a fun time down on the dock, swimming & kayaking. The house was prefect too!! We all enjoyed relaxing in the comfort of the beautiful home! The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. We are a family of 10 & there were plenty of beds & rooms for everyone with one to spare. The kids enjoyed the game room when they weren’t at the dock! Fair to say, we all got our work out on……

“Well appointed home in a great location. There is a beautiful deck/dock at the bottom of the hill, however the hill is steep so it is a hike to get to. Alternatively, there is a neighborhood pool and boat dock, which is a four minute drive from the property. We used this dock to launch our boat and jet skis and it worked great. ”

“We stayed here over spring break with a large family group—my family of four, my sister's family of four, our grandparents, and our aunt. Communication with the host was excellent—clear, prompt, and helpful. Check-in was seamless, and the home was easy to find using GPS.As noted in the listing, the driveway is steep, but both our vehicles (a Chevy Suburban and a Chrysler Pacifica) handled it with no issues. The home itself was exactly as described and looked just like the photos—if not better.……

“What a spectacular home in a lovely setting! We were a group of siblings and a few young adult children visiting our family in nearby Celo, NC. We were very pleased with the home and appreciated all the extra towels & the great seating and lighting in the outdoor spaces. We like that there were wrap-around decks & a covered porch & the grill was undercover. It does rain in the Mountains! The kitchen was well stocked, the A/C worked well. We loved painting rocks for the fire pit! We did not take……

“The host was always very responsive and respectful. The house was beautiful and situated in a pretty area; it was great sitting on the porch with a fire and listening to the river. Lots of games and River equipment gave us plenty of fun activities to keep us busy without feeling the need to go anywhere else. And I appreciate the host providing supplies and toiletries for the house. Definitely would like to stay here again one day. ”

“Beautiful house and view of the lake! House was clean, well stocked, and the owners are very responsive and friendly. The A/C did have trouble keeping up on a few hot days on the top floor, even with the drapes shut, to the point we asked if someone could look at the HVAC unit while we were there. The owners did send a technician out, and everything seemed to be working correctly. The owners did say they plan to make some additional modifications soon to address the sun light heating up……

“Our stay was great. The property was just as advertised. I would say a little more hilly than I was expecting but nothing unusual for the area. The rooms were large and roomy and the beds and bedding comfortable. Certainly more than enough room for me, three of my adult kids and their significant others. Funny story, it took a whole to find the pots and pans but...that will live in family tales forever. My only advice is make sure and bring personal grooming needs: no shampoo/conditioner, no……

“Family vacation for 10 individuals! Two college girls, two high school girls and our 9 year old! What a wonderful place for them to stay in touch. The deck down by the lake was a huge plus even though the pool is right next door. Several thunderstorms came through during our stay so the enclosed porch was the place to be. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen appliances were complete. The only suggestion we would have was replacing the broom and add a dust pan. Thank you for sharing your home……

“Beautiful house with easy access to the dock/lake. Very chill and quiet neighborhood. Great swimming for the whole family right off the dock in the cove as well as excellent fishing; Bluegill, Rock Bass, Small Mouth Bass and Catfish!The house worked great as a central hub for surrounding activities such as the Biltmore Estate, Carowinds Park, Pisgah National Forest as well as some great local shopping and restaurants within a 15 minute drive. ”
