“Our stay at the Great Escape Lodge was fantastic! The house is a magnificent historical structure. All rooms were ready and perfect for our arrival (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc...all perfect). We grilled and shared stories and good laughs on the back deck. The living room was perfect for all of us to catch up after a day of activities and share our adventures. Key for us was how easy the owners made everything for our stay. They even went the extra mile to be sure we had directions to……

The kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms had plenty of towels and toiletries, the beds were super comfy, the game room was a HUGE hit for both kids and grownups, and the pool was right across the street. The owner even provided extra towels for the pool and hot tubs. We had a great time using the fire pit too. Altho some of the Adirondack chairs around the pit were not fully assembled, we really didn't need them since there was ample built-in seating.……

“While the hotel is a little old it exceeded our expectations. The property was very clean and you can tell well cared for. The room was bigger than expected also with 2 queen beds and a conjoining living room. The view off the corner balcony is absolutely breathtaking. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. “We had a great time at the Hemlock Creek Cabin! The sound of the creek in the distance made sitting on the deck a real pleasure. The view was not spectacular but there were some really neat places that we were able to hike to nearby including 3 ponds. Unfortunately we were not able to catch any fish in either the ponds or the creek but we had fun nonetheless. We made trips to Linville Caverns and Linville Falls (45 mins away) as well as the Nantahala Outdoor Center to white water raft on the……
