The area was heavily effected by Hurricane Helene, so it's humbling to see all of the damage against the backdrop of these beautiful mountains. “Stayed for several weeks and ended up extending our stay at this rental. The cottage wasnt far from town and had an amazing view of the mountains. It was the perfect tiny house stay! The host answered all of our questions quickly and had great communication with us while we stayed. I would highly recommend booking the cottage or with this host.”

Many rentals up here do not have A/C, but due to the unusually high humidity this weekend, we were definitely glad this one did. Simply loved everything about this rental. “After the hurricane, there were not many places in the county that had electricity, but this home did. It was a blessing for our family to be able to live and work here for a week. The house was clean and very comfortable and the host was very easy to work with. Highly recommended for someone visiting the area or needing a place to stay while home is unavailable. ”

“We loved this property! It was very new - didn't have that "lived in" feeling at all and no obvious wear and tear on any appliances, furnishings, or kitchen tools. And very clean!! The house had most everything you could want...and great views. We had 2 small kids with us who really enjoyed the vanishing steps to the lake. “After sitting 8-hours in a car, my legs were stiff. I walked into the entrance and started to lean to the right. At first I was not sure if it was me or what. I had to laugh, it reminded me of Cosmo, in South Dakota. If you have ever been there, you will know what I mean. The floors lean left/right. You go up hill and downhill in the same room.
