“We met a group of 4 other friends/couples including 7 kids/teens for a February long weekend. The house was easy to find and there was plenty of parking in the driveway. It snowed 2 nights we were there, and by 10am the sidewalk & driveway had been shoveled both mornings! There was plenty of space for kids to spread out, play games and be loud without affecting the adults (& vice versa). The lake was frozen over during our visit but the view is beautiful & I imagine even more so during warm……

“The place was nice and the stay was good. There were small things that can be better (i.e. more wash clothes and rugs at least at the entrances for shoes. The hottub needed to be cleaned. The beds were comfortable! It was great having so many bathrooms for everyone. The kitchen had a nice amount of space. The garage has parking, but it should be noted it will only fit a small car nothing medium to large size. Its close to stores and easy to get on the main road. I would definitely stay again!”

“I spent every summer of my childhood in Oakwood, so I know the cottage well. It used to belong to Rev. Ross Cook. My grandparents were George and Marie Cook (no relation to Rev. Cook) and they built the cottage at 1019 S Lake Dr. They worked at the old hotel every summer for decades. My dad also worked there during his teen years and so did I. I loved the view of the park.
