“Overall the stay was pretty good. We were visiting the area for a family reunion, and my family is huge and loud, so it was really nice to have a quiet spot to come home to. I loved the quiet, the house was very quaint and cute, nearest neighbors were close enough to see but too far to hear. Plenty of space for us to stretch out. Hubby loved sitting on the patio watching the wildlife and fireflies, me not so much, lol. That was the only negative for me; the bugs...it was manageable, but if youre……

“This latest stay at the Huddleston lake house was our second, a return from last year, which expresses our satisfaction. The location is a perfect summertime getaway for a family that enjoys water activities with a view!”

“We had a great stay in this cottage. It was perfect for 2 people. They had supplies you always forget to pack including shampoo/conditioner! The best part was having good coffee from a keurig!! It was hands down much better than a hotel and waking up in the wooded area and seeing deers in the morning was so great! Communication was quick with owners as well! Thank you!! “We had the most wonderful stay at the Time Out Too! Ben was such a great host! He was extremely helpful and responsive. The house has everything you could possibly need and more. My kids played on the wiffle ball field and in the tree house and we spent the days in the lake and fishing on the dock. The dock is located in the perfect little cove, where you have privacy and space to swim and paddle around without being near the other boats. My favorite thing was sitting on the amazing porch at……

“My husband and I stayed for a few days between Christmas and New Years. Although the weather was not ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation! The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, the kitchen was perfectly equipped for cooking the delicious local produce, and the bathroom was luxurious. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and we loved learning about the farm. We would look forward to staying here again or visiting the other BNB location at Smith Mountain. “We had a lovely stay at Smith Mountain Lake Cottage. We brought our two college age children and Golden Retriever. It was the perfect home base for kayaking on the lake and hiking at Smith Mountain Lake State Park and Peaks of Otter. We had lots of indoor and outdoor space at the house. It was clean and everything was well kept. Our hosts responded to communications quickly. We would definitely recommend this house rental.”
