“Electricity went off during the evening, staff member (lady) kept misleading guests telling us that maintenance was “on it “ and will restore power in just “a few minutes “ other staff said there was a bigger issue with the city, We could have understood the situation it she could just tell the truth but she became rude and unpleasant when people became anxious. The Power out lasted close to 2 hrs. No big deal except for the stuff member lying and misleading about the situation.”

“I have stayed here twice and will come back. It's a nice laid back property, now with a second larger swimming pool in the back of the main building. The staff is friendly and attentive. I haven't taken advantage of the mini-kitchen that is part of the terrace or balcony room. For nearby food, make sure you check out Jungle Pizza around the corner for a great thin crust wood-fired pizza. Also, there is a good Mexican restaurant, Las Adelitas. For great coffee, UMMA is about two blocks away and……

“We have stayed at Barcelo properties in the past and have always had a great experience. This particular property needs a bit of work, and it is showing its age. The beach is stunning and one of the best in Mexico. The food was a bit monotonous and below average compared to most resorts of this calibre. The staff were very pleasant, but most did not speak English very well, if at all. This did not affect the quality of our vacation, though. It is a great place if you are looking to relax……
