“My travel planning usually pays off, but Bungalow's in the Zihuataneo/Ixtapa area was a HUGE exception. As a Google Local Guide, I know to verify a hotel room or short-term rental in person before payment. What I found? A disgusting, moldy room, nothing like the online photos. The kitchen was unsanitary. Then came the cancellation nightmare – hours of calls, transfers, and zero resolution. I've posted photos and videos on their Google Maps profile. “Absolutely beautiful. The room was spotless, the view magnificent, the whole hotel was unique, and the breakfast was "to die for." I was only there one night, but my best night in Zih: not bothered by bugs at night!! I will go back for sure. And take other people there for breakfast. The owner is a chef from France and his employee Paola has worked there thirty years, for past owners as well. So glad I ended up there by accident because my brother-in-law goofed about the day he was……
