“I've always wanted to travel here and we finally did!! Family of four with adult children, we have traveled all over for Christmas for the past 10 years and this by far has been the best condo we have ever stayed at. “The best thing about our stay was the host - Guillermo and his wife Marlene went above and beyond: picked us up at the airport no charge; helped us track down my phone after I left it in a taxi :-( ; recommended restaurants; spoke English well and helped with translation; and even presented me with a birthday cake on my birthday! The place is quiet and private and 5 blocks from the beach.”

“Our place was quite unique and had a nice atmosphere. Close to the beach but there are some hills to tackle before getting there. Outdoor space with hammock was nice to have. Missing some Canadian luxuries like microwave, washer and dryer and TV. There were people above us that you could hear occasionally. We enjoyed are stay.”

“The condominium was clean. All amenities were as advertised. Amy was a great host/communicator. We had a minor issue getting the safe to work, otherwise the condo exceeded expectations. “Loved my stay my only complaint is that the bed sheets were very dirty with brown stains on the pillows and linens in both bedrooms. I sent it to property manager but nothing done about it. We had to wash everything on the first day which was an annoying way to spend the first day of our vacation.”

“There was no advance checkin email from the owner Guillermo the owner so we had to email Travelocity mid trip to get this info and then he responded. Our taxi driver got lost and couldn’t find the apt and Guillermo waited for us until we arrived even though he doesn’t live in Zih, which we appreciate as we didn’t get there till evening. However the lock to the gate to get into the property didn’t work properly and we were constantly fighting to get out and in which was frustrating when coming……

“We had a great time at Marea. The property is beautiful, very nicely kept. The beach is just wonderful, practically all to yourself as there are not many other hotels or restaurants on the beach.
