“I was visiting from New York during December 20-23 and stayed in room 204. While booking this place (Dover Inn next to the Gariahat Police Station), I was hesitant because of some scary reviews among other good ones. I am writing this review to negate most of such extremely negative reviews, and also offer some friendly suggestions. First of all, the location of this Boutique hotel is "Outstanding". Second, the service and warmth I received, was "Outstanding". I wish to specially mention……

“When my taxi arrived at 3 AM and looked at the hotel exterior, I laughed. It was too funny. But once I got into the hotel and my room, I was cool with everything. Clean, comfortable albeit very small room and bathroom shower system in which the entire room is the shower! Something new for me but I learned quite typical in India. I was scheduled to stay 3 nights. But instead of moving to another hotel, I stayed 6 nights. Good hotel if you accept simplicity and great value but do without……

“Really good service, very nice people who are ready to accommodate all our requests!! Highly recommend!”

“Decent stay. Breakfast is not great but will do. You have to walk outside to get to the breakfast area so dont go out in your slippers, especially if its been raining. (when it rains, water collects in the outside area) Walls are on the thin side, so if you're a light sleeper, make sure you have ear plugs. Overall, its good enough given the price.”

“The property was situated in the city's heart. I didn't feel protected, and it wasn't as enticing as I had thought from the photographs. For a female traveller, it fell short of my expectations. However, it's a decent, reasonably priced hotel. ”
