“We were in town for my father in law’s funeral and didn’t want to stay in a hotel. The house was less than a mile from my inlaw’s and 10 minutes from the church. It was clean, comfortable, and had 3 bathrooms so it wasn’t a struggle for all of us getting ready in the morning. We didn’t get to stay long and enjoy the fireplace or 4 season porch much, but we will definitely be back.”

“We loved our visit! A group of college friends gathered for the weekend. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the living room area with couches and room to gather. We loved being near the lake. Robin was extremely helpful, kind, and quick with communication. Thank you!!!”

“6 women spent a restful and challenging weekend together in this beautiful home. Beds are comfortable. Home is beautiful and cozy. Our chef commented that this was the most comfortable kitchen she has ever worked in. For an old house, it was remarkably quiet and not drafty! May or may not be haunted…depends on who you ask. ;). Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again!”

“The Lakeside Retreat is great! Cleanliness is my highest priority and it was clean! It had everything we needed and was located on such a sweet spot. The pictures do not due is justice as the space is very functional and conducive for gathering and doing different activities. We would definitely return.”

“Our family had so much fun spending Easter weekend here. We had stayed at the Old Town Hall last year and the grandkids were begging to go back. We all enjoy riding around on scooters and playing games. The kitchen is a nice size for several "cooks". We enjoyed meals together and time together to talk and play. We had an easter egg and beer hunt and there were many places to hide the eggs. A great weekend in a nice place.”

“My family of six and I as well as our fur baby Frank spent an incredible five days at this property. The property is beautiful and the lake even more so. Situated just 13 minutes from anything you need in Alexandria, this lakefront property sits at the end of the road, which provides Seclusion and privacy. The garage provides plenty of recreational space and it is just a few short steps on flatland from the door to the dock. The fishing on the lake was also fantastic. Will definitely come back”
