“We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We were visiting family in Barry’s Bay so found the location convenient. We would definitely book it again when we return to the area. ”

Starlink Internet worked well. Lake was quiet with minimal boat traffic. Easy to get down to the water and walk out into the lake for swimming.”

The property is well setup with the main house, a bunkie, a wood shed, a covered BBQ/game area, as well as a large firepit and a garden with seating for conversation. “We stayed as a family of four with two young children at the end of summer. The property is beautiful and the water very shallow quite a ways out so it was perfect for our 1.5 and 2.5 year olds. They had a blast playing in the water, riding around in the kayak and playing with some beach toys provided. The cottage got both very hot and cold while we were there with the fluctuating temps that week. The fans in every room work wonders and there is heating if needed. Adequate and comfortable……

“The property was nicely secluded, with multiple trails leading up to the top of the escarpment with a lovely view of Golden Lake. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and the AC was perfect for sleeping as we went in a 35° July heatwave. Great little fire pit with affordable firewood supplied by the hosts. Be mindful of leaving any dry food in the screened-in kitchenette if going out for more than an hour -- the local chipmunks are hungry and know what they're looking for. Only minor……
