From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful atmosphere and the sheer number of things to keep us entertained, both at the house and in the surrounding area.The location itself is incredibly serene, offering a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We particularly enjoyed spending time outdoors (other than the univited guests: the mosquitoes). The fishing was a highlight, and evenings……

“We had all the room we needed and more for our family time at this rental. Lovely views of the river and a great outdoor space. Would recommend for a larger family/group for sure. ”

“Cute house in quiet neighborhood which is super clean and nice. Was a great getaway for a girlfriend trip, had extra beds. Love the decor and was very comfortable. Host was very responsive and generous. Hope to stay there again.”

“The house is large and is a great place to go with a larger group. Check in was very easy and the host was responsive when we had questions. We all loved the pool of course, and there are a bunch of toys and floats already there. Having a washer and dryer on the property was also a nice bonus. The beds were all very comfortable. There is only a Keurig machine, so if you need actual coffee, bring a coffee maker. But there was a large variety of k-cups provided. Overall, the house the was perfect……

“We are from Mpls, South Dakota, North Dakota, My sisters and I took our 93 year old Mother to House on the Rock. The house was perfect. All one level and surprisingly spacious. It was spotless and had everything we needed. Thank you for making it easy 😊”

“Great place to stay. Secluded, quiet and very relaxing. Saw deer, rabbits and squirrels during the day and heard the owls at night. Very impressed with host communications. Highly recommend and we will return again. ”

“We stayed here for two nights in May. This cottage is just stunning. The renovation is modern, yet you get the historical feel it had. The train motif is scattered around in all the rooms. Such a comfy place!There's a rails to trails bike trail right outside the front door. The Bat Cave (bar) is right around the corner from the cottage. The owners and clientele were so fun and friendly. And the countryside with its hills, valleys, farmland, and bluffs makes for a wonderful drive. The Wisconsin……
