“Location is perfect for us. Parking is an issue, but easily overcome if you have good mobility. My husband is not a walker so it was difficult for him, but I just dropped him off and then parked. Stairs were an issue. Did not expect two large flights of stairs. Luckily, there was living area and a bed room at the top of the first flight.”

“Sadhana couldn’t have made such a small, yet cute studio any more cozy and accommodating than she did. Our short stay was lovely. The kitchenette is stocked with teas, coffee, a Brita filter, and dinnerware as well as a fridge, countertop stove, etc. The studio is only a walk away from downtown and Cal Poly Humboldt. The most hospitable VRBO we have visited.”

“It’s basically one room and I imagine it started life as a garage. But I found it clean and comfortable and welcoming. I sure I hope I can stay here next time. I’ve stayed in other places in Eureka and they were kinda worn down by moisture and age. This place felt fresh. There’s a gas fireplace and a gas heater. The hot water is good. Lots of outlets (would be nice to add an outlet with USB port). From what I saw the dishes were nice. Hosts right next door and accessible. ”

“We loved our stay here, it was inviting, unique, and quiet despite being close to the airport! The blankets and bedding were great which is a big plus. The roof top deck provided an amazing retreat to enjoy the sun, and having two separate floors allowed for privacy for everyone.”

“I'm pretty sure this is the closest rental you can get to Cal Poly Humboldt's campus and the owners have thoughtfully provided a wonderful little garden hideaway. A generous room with every little detail thought through, you will rest easy here and find all the amenities at hand. True, there is no kitchen with this unit (there is a mini-fridge, microwave, small oven and some dishes for your convenience), but why would you miss out on all of the wonderful local food places within just a few……

“The Sequoia Cottage was a perfect place for my family and I as we found ourselves in Eureka for a funeral. It allowed us to have a sense of comfort and home in a more relaxed environment than a hotel room. Seemed to be so close to everything. Would definitely stay here again when we are in town. ”
