“The hotel was excellent and I guess you get what you pay for-rates were higher because of college graduation. It was a nice facility- kept clean, modern, friendly staff, good breakfast, quiet, large room and the best restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay again. ”

“I didn’t know what to expect when I booked it. I just knew it was a good price. We were going to see a concert Metallica at Virginia Tech so I didn’t care at the time, but it was a lot less than I thought it would be as far as quality, I thought it would be a little more updated not so Outdated and not comfortable. I was very happy to book the Highlander for the second night. We just left the other night paid for and not used.”

“Room and lobby was nice and clean, but the hotel is dated and shows signs of aging. Ice machine and washing machine were out of order, and the fitness room no longer existed. ”

“Aged property and non-smoking room smells like smoke, but there is a fridge with freezer, microwave and a nice Mexican restaurant a mile down the road. Inexpensive compared with near by options, and close to trailhead. ”
