“Overall a wonderful stay, especially for the price. While there is a view from the balcony of a narrow canal, the view is impeded by neighboring buildings. In the communications leading up to our stay I was repeatedly reminded to bring a Refundable damage deposit of 319.06 euros in cash, however when clarifying this just days before our stay I was told this isn’t a thing. I found this very confusing and a little stressful to make certain I had the proper amount in foreign currency and it was……

“Diarmund and Kashi are wonderful hosts to this lovely set of homes. We had Dep 3 which is the top floor penthouse of one of their properties. We loved having Matten as our neighborhood because it’s next to Interlaken but not in it (plus the entire region is very small so the borders don’t matter much). It felt more like a local neighborhood than Interlaken did, and everything was pretty much walkable within 15-20 min. Some things to note about the house and the Interlaken area: - the bus……

“The apartment was nice, equipped well but instructions for operating major appliances were nil and made operation very difficult and frustrating. I would suggest that they have written instructions for operation of each, along with hints for problematic quirks that added to equipment failure. Next beware of approaching the apartment resident managers, my friend/co-habitant got screamed at for no reason because she knocked on their door on a weekend to get help with the electric cooktop stove……
