“What a wonderful find, and only an hour away from NYC. Fairfield CT is beautiful, friendly people, great restaurants, dog friendly, beautiful private beach, the list goes on and on. Thank you to Gerard for being so helpful, kind and always there to answer any questions, and give great recommendations. If you ever need a break from the city, this is the place to go to. Thanks again for such a wonderful holiday! We will be back.”

“I cant say much because i only stayed 1 night but i will say it was exactly what i needed. The place is very cute, rustic but modern. The neighborhood was very quiet. I wish i could have stayed longer and if im ever in the area i would stay there again.”

“We were not able to stay at the property but Katherine, the host, was very nice and responsive when we called for help. The email Vrbo sent with the directions to the property were not correct. It sent us to a totally different property in an entirely different location of the property we rented. We searched and searched from around 5:30 in the afternoon until about 7:30 but to no avail. It was a cold and rainy evening. We were giving up when Katherine contacted us and helped direct us to……

“Landscaping was spectacular and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the lake. Baths and bedrooms very clean. Plenty of charging ports. Terrible mold and mildew smell in lower level. Number of hazards noted, handrail missing on stairs, no lights on outdoor stairway, thermostat access by leaning over the stairs. The property needs a good deep cleaning.”

“This place was perfection for my mom and I. The location was easy to get to from highway, the inside of the place was spotless, updated and cozy and property owner Susana was highly responsive to any questions we had. The location was ideal for walks both on the beach and on walking paths. We will definitely stay again in the future. ”

“We were in need of a nice, relaxing vacation and that’s exactly what we got. There were four of us (me, my husband, my 16-year-old, and my 11-year-old) and we each had our own space. We loved going down to the dock, and there is also a town beach just down the road. The home is filled with fun antiques and reminds you of a clean, well-kept, and charming grandmother’s house. We wanted a low-key vacation, and so we enjoyed short jaunts (less than 15 mins away) to Kent to enjoy its downtown and……

It is close enough to my family in Ridgefield for me to fee like I am just around the corner, while being in a quiet, peaceful private property. The setup was perfect for myself and my mom, but could also accommodate a larger group. It isn’t a big space, but had everything that we needed. “We had a wonderful Christmas getaway with family at the “Ice Cream Cottage”. It is much more spacious than it looks on the outside.It was clean and had everything we needed. Host was attentive to any questions we had.The fenced in yard was great for our “fur baby” to run around.”

“Ashleigh was a great host. Everything you need to know about the property was on the listing - it is on a farm, so you will hear roosters throughout the day. The water pressure is low as described, so we did all take one shower at a time and had no issues.The property itself was very beautiful, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to see the goats and pigs and Ashleigh was very responsive with all communication before and during the stay. We also greatly enjoyed the bread and eggs……
