“The house is beautiful, spacious and well equipped. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook and feed our large crew. The kitchen, living room and game room provided good areas for group activities and bedrooms provided privacy when desired. It provided a good bonding experience for the three generations of our family.”

“We are a family of four with two children, ages 6 and 9. We enjoyed our two nights at this cabin. The upstairs bedroom configuration was fun for the kids. A little bit of Netflix and PBS kids when it was particularly rainy over the weekend, as well as the suitcase-full of games the kids brought with us. We weren't able to hike Bald Mntn as planned because of the rain, but the home's location was well settled in low-traffic side streets that permitted us to get in a nice walk/hike when the rain……

“Our overall stay was good, we had great weather, and the top of the boat house was amazing with the views of the lake. When we first entered the home, it smelled very stale like the windows have not been open in months. We found a candle and opened the windows before the rest of the guests came. There absolutely needs to be more lights on the outside stairs at night. The stairs are steep, and we had to use our lights on our phones to go up and down the stairs at night. It’s dangerous. The……

“Derricks property is very clean and well stocked with everything that you could possibly need. The home made bread that he made for us was delicious and the house was beautifully decorated. Would stay here again. ”

“The only real things I didn't like about the property was the floors upon check-in were dirty, not dusty. After my 1st shower while my feet were drying they turned black from walking around. Also some dirty dishes and mice poo in the cupboard. Beyond that this place was amazingly quiet and peaceful. Comfy as well. On the clear nights you had full view of the stars. Lots of trails in the area”
