“This was the perfect place for my husband and I to celebrate our 3 year anniversary and explore Cape Breton. Great location and the private beach was extra special. ”

“This resort has yurts and domes as well as rooms in the lodge. The yurts and domes do not have their own baths. The lodge rooms where we were did. The room had a double bed and a single. The double was quite comfortable, the single not so much. Our room was on the bottom floor. There was a restaurant attached and the option to have a package with breakfast and dinner. Though we didn't have the package we did eat a breakfast and a couple of dinners. The food was excellent. They have music……

“We wish we could live at Rita’s retreat all the time! Our room was nice and cozy. The backyard is so spacious and peaceful all the way down to the water. The indoor saltwater pool was icing on the cake! Mike was very accommodating, helpful and fun to talk to— I recommend Rita’s Retreat!”

“This is a unique stay on the world famous Cabot Trail. It is a one room cabin, like a treehouse over looking St Anns Bay. The washroom facilities are a short walk down hill the facilities. It is not for everybody. It definitely worked for us! We spent 5 nights of relaxing after the beautiful drives we took on the Cabot Trail. “Quiet and clean but bathroom door has poor lock. Hard to find your driveway entrance due to sign fallen down and no reflective tape marking.”
