“Was a beautiful location near multiple fishing lakes. With the kayaks and the boat really madeIt a wonderful fishing experience. We caught blue gill, bass, bowfin, and many catfish. The owner Charley was extremely friendly and accommodating. We will be back in the summer. ”

“Super clean and tastefully decorated newly remodeled lake cottage. Very friendly and caring host. The town of Hamilton is the perfect small town slowdown getaway on a picturesque lake.”

We loved sitting around the fire pit each evening. Our days were spent in the water. Swimming, using the provided rafts and kayaks. We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable time! Mike and Sue were kind and quick to respond with any questions we had. We would highly recommend this home! ”

“Our group of five older women, all cousins, enjoyed our stay at the Sanctuary on Golden Lake. If you love peace and quiet with a beautiful view, this is the place. We had plenty of room to spread out, or to gather together comfortably. The screened porch was our favorite spot. Rain or shine, it was a lovely place to sit and watch the lake, the birds, and boats gliding by. We were disappointed that the VRBO listing promised 2 full and 2 half baths. The home has two bathrooms. ”

“My wife and I, and 2 adult sons attended a wedding in Butler. The house is SO well appointed, and totally updated. So relaxing and comfortable. Has to be one of the prettiest views on the entire lake. 5 star recommendation all the way. Thank you for sharing your home !”

“The water did not work for the majority of the time. It was fixed once on the first day which resulted in muddy/ dirty water but that was short lived as the water promptly went out within the next day and a half. They could not get anyone out to come repair the water again. Not to mention the dryer did not work. We were told that someone would be out to replace/ repair but that never happened. Expedia should be ashamed for continuing to list this property after being told that it was not……

“Stayed at house for bachelor party. Big yard to hang out in and play games. Very interesting house with cool historical background. Perfect place for large groups because it has so many rooms to sleep in.”
