“What a great historical hotel in the heart of Ballarat. The room was up to date and the staff was helpful with our luggage. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and the service excellent. There was no problem with parking on site, especially upon our late night return from the Sovereign Hill Aura event. ”

Nearby with an excellent Spanish restaurant (Meigas) and we have the most wonderful night for our trip. “I was met with a very engaging owner who showed me through the hotel. My room was small but very clean with a comfortable bed and efficient heating. Bathroom was a shared bathroom but was very clean and plenty of hot water and large 'fluffy' towels. The evening meal was very tasty and there was not a long waiting time for the meal. Very helpful and friendly staff. A beautiful country hotel and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.”

“10 mins walking distance to Macedon Railway Station, this hotel is convenience to anyone who is not driving. Besides, we made dinner at the self-serviced kitchen, this is also one of the good features of this motel! However, the hotel is suggested to pay more attention on HOUSEKEEPING. No one came to clean the room for few days and we have to request and ask for toilet papers twice for a long period of staying there.”

“The villa was very modern and stylish. The gas fireplace was great on the cold raining night I stayed. The bed was very comfy and the shower had good pressure with a soft rain head. The bathroom and toilet is encased in a large glass box which is cool to be able to sit in the spa and watch TV but the sheer curtains for privacy was a bit too revealing and could do with something heavier to provide more mystery when your partner is in the bathroom.”
