“The Stone Cottage is absolutely charming. My son and daughter in law both had to work one day, so the basement worked out beautifully. The loft and rooms were all cozy and comfortable. Kitchen was equipped abundantly. The location next to Beacon Cafe was amazing, food was so good. Whitmers General Store with pizza and various entrees was a 3 minute walk down the quaint road. “We had a short stay during my wife’s spring break (she’s an art teacher). We both fell in love with the cottage and the surrounding pond. Everything was glorious and the breakfast is spectacular. “I took myself, my daughter, my mother, my grandmother, and great Aunt on this ladies getaway. The home is stunning! It was extremely clean and very well stocked (way better than previous homes I’ve stayed in through VRBO). The road is very noisy at nights. Several large trucks/semis can easily be heard when trying to sleep. The only other issue was, we were extecting one of the larger beds to be in the main floor but it was only the full sized bed with a bunk on top. We had two elderly members……

“This is a wonderful property and we really enjoyed our time away. The peace and quiet was heavenly, and the cottage is just delightful. You can spend a few hours just taking in all the decorations! John is a great host, was available to answer all our questions and provided a ton of information that made our stay easy and just what a tired city couple needed. Next time we'll stay longer!”

“We had a travel JO volleyball tournament in Sherrodsville this property was 10 min away. Super convenient to go to Eastern Ohio Sports Complex! We stayed in early April and they did not have the golf cart out of winter storage yet. But lots of pillows in the upstairs room at the top of the steps.Lots of towels and blankets stored upstairs also! Bring K-cups they had a keurig but they also provided coffee and creamer! Very accommodating. It was not right on the lake but you could see the lake……

“This property was absolutely beautiful! From the beautiful scenery to the beautiful little cottage! The cottage was absolutely perfect in every way! So cozy and comfortable! Sitting outside on the back deck was absolutely breathtaking and relaxing!! The owners did a fabulous job making it a perfect place for a couples getaway! The owners were friendly and very helpful! “All was great except when we were looking for stay options you advertised pets allowed and it was not clear anywhere in your information that there was a size limit. My husband and I both read closely and saw nothing pertaining to a limit. we did not Discover until it was too late to cancel that there was a size limit. We were fortunate that you allowed us to bring our pet due to it being the off-season. Otherwise we would’ve been out a lot of money.”
