“Property was in excellent condition, very well maintained and clean. Our family had an excellent experience, and our host was top-notch. The host allowed unexpected access to his garage to accommodate parking my motorcycle at no extra charge, and a last-minute request. The host made this experience smooth, stress-free, and very enjoyable. I will certainly stay at the same location if my family travels back to South Dakota.”

“It felt like home the moment we walked through the door. The home was clean and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect for our home base. We were able to see everything we wanted to see…Mount Rushmore, Custer Park, Needles Highway, Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway, Badlands National Park and more. Bridget was great to communicate with us. “House is perfect location for all you want to do in the Black Hills. Kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable. Lots seating area for meals. Down stairs is great for grown kids or second family, I would suggest owner puts in coffee bar and small refrigerator in the lower level. Upstairs deck if wonderful wine and fire pit. Host has done a good job to make if vacation friendly”

“The house was retro (re: dated) but the location by the Black Hills and Pactola Lake kept us busy. The real gem was the hot tub overlooking the hills.”

“Great home with convenient location to mt Rushmore. The yard is huge and waterfront area has seating to help you enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The tiny house with hot tub was a huge hit with our kids and the dogs loved the yard to stretch their legs after a long day of travel. I'd definitely stay here again. ”

“It has all the things! Modern amenities and appliances and charm of a cabin that’s seen lots of joy over the decades. The host greeted us and gave us an overview of the trails on the property. We didn’t explore any of them since we were hitting all the parks by day. The teens enjoyed the kayaks and floating in the swimming hole. I enjoyed the deck and the sound of rushing water while reading or doom-scrolling. We enjoyed our stay so much and were lucky it was available for 1 more night. Don’t……

“Place was spot on perfect! We were 6 adults and felt comfortable. Fully stocked for cookware and seasoning and such. Great quite neighborhood but loved all the birds.”

“Have been staying in South Dakota for over 30 yrs. Have tried all the hotels. his was by far our best experience. Our hosts have set up a really nice retreat. Everything you could want was at your fingertips. A special shout out to Ken and Staria for such a super nice stay. We will be back.”
