“The house has all of the amenities you need to stay in touch if you want but also the beautiful outdoors to distract you and allow you to escape from reality and just enjoy the lake. Floats, kayaks, towels, grill, fire pit, wifi, it was all amazing! We had a few hiccups when we got there but Emily and Tucker jumped right on it and we were fixed in no time!”

“Such a beautiful home right on Lake Gaston! The house was so clean and well-organized. Having the kayaks and paddle boards to use freely was a huge perk. The gorgeous deck and fire pit were perfect for our group of friends to hang out around!”

It is perfect for families with plenty of room for kids or mothers-in-law or grand parents to have there own spaces and activities galore. “Our sewing group from church had a 3 day retreat at The Yellowstone. The house and grounds are lovely. The kitchen is well appointed. We were able to relax on the deck and also work on various projects. When we checked in one of the two refrigerators wasn’t working. The property manager immediately sent out a maintenance person to check it. Unfortunately it needed repair. Within 2 hours I had a call from the owner saying a brand new one puls be delivered first thing in the morning. It……

We had the best time hanging out on the dock and riding out on Lake Gaston. We had a memorable time and would love to do it again.”

“This spot was a great place to meet, we came from the north and our family came from south of there. The house had a great layout w the two master suites being in either end of the living room/kitchen area. The deck was the perfect place to relax and view the lake and we had regular visits from a great heron and geese, and many birds and even turtles.Our home had what we needed except dish soap but maybe we should have known to bring our own. There is no dishwasher so that had us using what……

“This house was the perfect size for our crew. 4 families came with kids ranging from 8-17. All had fun on the dock and deck! We brought a Sea Doo which was nice since the water was still cold. It was nice to have a separate space for kids to hang out and watch movies. Kids also enjoyed the ping pong table. ”

“The pictures don’t do this place justice at all. It was absolutely beautiful and amazing. My son and I did a father son get away before he leaves for boot camp. We fished for 2 days. Had a bonfire, grilled out and had an amazing time that we will talk about for a very long time. I plan on doing a a trip here again with my wife. ”

“We had a fantastic stay at Better Lake Than Never! The home was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated. Marc the host was incredibly responsive and made check-in a breeze. We especially appreciated home away from home comforts such as a surplus of fresh towels and a well-stocked kitchen with high quality cookware and utensils. The large jetted tub was clean and so very relaxing, not to mention the provided kayaks, life vests, fishing rods, tons of games……
