“Beautiful surroundings, tucked away on the Lakeside as the name suggests. Nice quiet and peaceful. A little bit of a walk into the centre (15-20 minutes), but also possible to wave down a tuk tuk once you get to the main road (about 150 SL rupees to the clocktower). The rooms were big and clean. I'm a solo traveller, but was given a room that had two double beds, aircon and a ceiling fan. The shower was hot during the day, more by accident than design. I think that the water came from a black……

“A solid choice in Anuradhapura that caters to tour groups, especially. Nice staff, clean and basic rooms, with nice little balconies, many of which overlook the terrific pool. Would recommend avoiding the meh dinner buffet and order off the menu instead. Well located, and staff made a great recommendation for local driver and guide.”

“I arrived a bit late at night so they reserved a very large room for me as other rooms are all be booked. Nice room with fan and air-con. Though the air-con didnt work, sleep with fan is definately not a problem. Cleanness of the room still need to be improve as I can find a dead inserts under the bed. Staffs are very helpful and nice. Help me to prepare dinner and breakfast and call tuktuk for my sightseeing the next day. Overall is pretty good with reasonable price.”

“A notre arrivée, l'hôtelier nous a dit qu'il n'y avait pas de réservation à notre nom, qu'il venait de racheter cet hôtel et que pour pouvoir y dormir, il fallait annuler notre réservation auprès d'hotel.com (ce qui était impossible sans perdre les 60 € déjà payés car il nous demandait une annulation pour le jour même) et qu'ensuite, il fallait le payer en espèces le prix de la chambre (environ 45 €). Sans moyen de contacter Hotel.com car 4h du matin en France, nous avons préféré quitter cet……
