“Had a fantastic stay, the accommodation was spotless. Great private garden with hot tub. Owner Alan was fantastic, showed me round the property, was shown how hot tub worked. Everything was provided to make it a lovely relaxing holiday. Plenty nice cafes and shops in edzell to get everything needed. Great base for travelling round and visiting nearby towns. Bed was so comfy, it was warm when I stayed but the bothy was lovely and cool. Will definitely be back for another visit. Best relaxing……

“The decor of the cottage was stunning. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Location was also really good very near the beach, park, shops and cafes etc. Parking was easy right outside. I would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed lovely walks along the promenade. A few minor tweaks needed to make this a top class stay. Hairdryer and remote control not working correctly - both need replaced. Sofa was not very comfortable cushions were flat and worn. “Set in a beautiful area with direct access to the beach. A huge enclosed garden for our dogs and seating areas following the sun. The property is tastefully decorated and spacious it’s well equipped. I personally loved the peace listening to the waves at night, drinking coffee outside watching the sun coming up, long walks on the beach with the dogs. “We stayed here for 5 nights and were greeted by a lovely card with details of local events. Communication was excellent and the hosts were lovely local people, we had easy access if we required any assistance. Access to the property was simple as was parking. “What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!”

“Right from the initial booking where I had excellent communication from Gillian, the owner, I knew this was going to be a great stay and it did not disappoint. “This is a small flat in a residential block that provides good, basic accommodations with a Tesco nearby. We were a family of 5 adults, in a transit van, touring Scotland. “The quayside area of Dundee where the Apex hotel sits is lovely. You can walk or cycle for miles alongside the river and it's clean. The town centre though is not so great. It's quite run down and there are lots of empty shops. The staff in the hotel were lovely and helpful. The rooms are cleaned and a good size. We had one facing the quay which meant we could watch the people doing watersports. The restaurant was clean and the staff were attentive but the food was average. Not terrible but……
