“The home was a wonderful place to rest after a cold day of hiking. It was immaculate and cozy! The kitchen had everything you could need and more. We had a small issue with the check in but Anna responded immediately and even drove over to make sure that everything was okay. We would definitely stay here again!”

“I gave 4 stars on cleanliness due to hallway floors being very dirty. No white socks remained. Communications were horrible due to phone being very static filled. Master bedroom lamp was broken. Exchanged it with one from another bedroom. TV remote controls need new batteries. Otherwise, very nice place.”

“Overall the place is a nice quiet getaway in the woods. Be prepared for lots of DIY when it comes to the sauna and all other wood burning stove fires. An issue for concern, if you stay in the Shire Suite, the front room is solely heated by the wood burning stove and the ventilation is very limited. VERY smokey throughout our entire stay. Also there’s a tin roof so if it’s raining (it did our whole stay) the noise is REALLY loud making it almost impossible to sleep. Pray for no rain at night.……

“This was a great spot for a college reunion of 10 guys. We jump around from year to year, but are planning to come back here. We were all amazed at the construction of the main house and it's giant pine logs. (Suggestion: hire a professional photographer to represent the place better on this site.) We had plenty of space in the main house, but also used the tree house which was great as well. The kitchen had everything we needed and was spacious. The fireplaces got used a bunch, but did take……

“There is a lot of charm in this property and this room! Note that the heater in the room struggles to keep up with the cold during the colder months. It was 60 degrees when I woke up one morning, and the heater had been running non-stop all night. Unfortunately, I didn't try the sauna, but it looked awesome!”
