“The town of Arklow is a quaint, quiet little town, very walkable, a river nearby. The Hotels proprietor was a very friendly, kind, helpful man. Check in at the bar was quick, room was nicely renovated, it could have been the time of year but it was VERY quiet in the upstairs area, I felt like I was the only one staying there. There was a bountiful, delicious breakfast the next morning, a full Irish breakfast and I had a lovely chat with the barkeep....he had been working there for 50……

“The location is in the countryside with 40 shades of green all around. The location served as our base for exploring Glendalough, which was one of the top places to see on our 3-week trip, as well as Powerscourt Gardens, Waterfall, and other attractions such as Lough Tay and the bridge from the movie, "P.S. I Love You". My wife loved the washer/dryer in the apartment. ”

“The Brooklodge is a beautiful hotel and the grounds are immaculate and lovely to walk around. It is a lovely old style building with a separate building called "brookhall" that has rooms and a geothermal pool. There is an amazing restaurant called the Strawberry tree restaurant, a great leisure centre. Overall, i think it is a little gem and off the beaten track but it is a must see. There is also a lovely quaint looking church beside a river stream-ideal for weddings. ”

“This is a nice smaller property. We spent one night after flying into Dublin. The room was comfortable and very clean. The house served a lovely breakfast in the morning and was very helpful regarding information around the area and places to visit.”

“Beautiful BnB, lovely breakfasts, grounds were immaculate and the owner is a delight. Very gracious and welcoming. Also, a wealth of knowledge on the local area and walking trails in Glendalough. “Wonderful only thing remote did not work to put on tv. A nice person arrived stating batteries might be low, fiddled with remote, finally got it working, not really explaining the fault after it was turned off it did not work again. Did not bother them again. Otherwise 💯 will go back”

“The staff were excellent. This was our 1st night in Ireland and they made us welcome. The accomodations were quirky with a winding way, up and down steps to a room at the very end with a door that wouldn't lock! There was some confusion about the booking as we were trying to get to bed but the staff resolved it quickly. Thank you to the staff . ”
