“We enjoyed this fabulous home in December to celebrate a family friendly 40th birthday. The house had plenty of room, beautiful views and all the amenities. We had four families-each adult couple had their own room on the main floors and the children all fit perfectly in the nicely finished basement. There were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. The kitchen and bathrooms had all the necessities. We also enjoyed the nearby local breweries/restaurants that had lots of room for our big group. ”

“This was THE perfect spot for one last hurrah/downtime before the school year and sports pick back up. It was remote and quiet with cover water access and kayaks. Everything in the kitchen works beautifully and their is plenty of beds and space to spread out. We really enjoyed our stay”

“We loved the great-room just off the dining/kitchen area, as well as the boat dock for lounging and kayaking. Used the patio for grilling and campfire with s'mores. The location at the north end of the lake is a convenient launching point for area attractions. Couldn't really use the spare sitting room as a bedroom, but fortunately we didn't need it. Had a few minor issues, but the owner/host was very responsive. ”

“My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay here. We took advantage of all the amenities—the pizza oven, projector screen, and sauna. The hot tub was tricky to heat up and took about 5 hours to get to 85 degrees, felt like a warm bath on a January night.”

“Great house with plenty of games for the kids. House was well stocked and clean. ”

“Great experience and will definitely come back. Good communication with the owners, and they were super nice - they shared their farm fresh eggs with us. So we were all set for breakfast! The property itself was really nice. It was just the right size for a couple and it had a grill which was a plus. There’s lots to do on the property - boating, hiking, and our favorite was feeding the animals. For hiking, I recommend the Jack’s Jaunt trail. It’s also close to Charlottesville so that’s a……

“The property was spotless, check-in a breeze and location perfect for peace & quiet. Although the weather was not ideal (in part due to hurricane Helene further south), we took time to visit near and far locations: Luray Caverns (wow!!), Fredericksburg, Williamsburg, and Richmond museums. “The photos of this property do not do it justice- it is absolutely beautiful. The privacy is so nice, and the house itself was wonderful. We had our adult children there for Christmas dinner- and I’m quite sure they will be renting this house in the future. Also the mattresses and linens were very comfortable- which is impressive in any vacation rental. This is a treasure nestled in the country.”

“The home was spotless and offered more than enough space for 8 adults to coexist for a few days. The view was stunning, the game room was a blast, and the hot tub was clean and relaxing. Joanne was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I couldn't recommend this home enough, and we hope to stay there again at some point. ”
