“We enjoyed this fabulous home in December to celebrate a family friendly 40th birthday. The house had plenty of room, beautiful views and all the amenities. We had four families-each adult couple had their own room on the main floors and the children all fit perfectly in the nicely finished basement. There were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. The kitchen and bathrooms had all the necessities. We also enjoyed the nearby local breweries/restaurants that had lots of room for our big group. ”

“This was THE perfect spot for one last hurrah/downtime before the school year and sports pick back up. It was remote and quiet with cover water access and kayaks. Everything in the kitchen works beautifully and their is plenty of beds and space to spread out. We really enjoyed our stay”

“We loved the great-room just off the dining/kitchen area, as well as the boat dock for lounging and kayaking. Used the patio for grilling and campfire with s'mores. The location at the north end of the lake is a convenient launching point for area attractions. Couldn't really use the spare sitting room as a bedroom, but fortunately we didn't need it. Had a few minor issues, but the owner/host was very responsive. ”

“Great experience and will definitely come back. Good communication with the owners, and they were super nice - they shared their farm fresh eggs with us. So we were all set for breakfast! The property itself was really nice. It was just the right size for a couple and it had a grill which was a plus. There’s lots to do on the property - boating, hiking, and our favorite was feeding the animals. For hiking, I recommend the Jack’s Jaunt trail. It’s also close to Charlottesville so that’s a……

“The cabin was the perfect way to spend a weekend getaway. The views at sunrise and sunset were to die for. It was just as nice spending time in the cabin as it was hiking in Shenandoah and exploring nearby Orange. The entire weekend was such a nice escape from the city. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.”

Although the weather was not ideal (in part due to hurricane Helene further south), we took time to visit near and far locations: Luray Caverns (wow!!), Fredericksburg, Williamsburg, and Richmond museums. “The property is located in a very beautiful and secluded part of Virginia. All cabins are nestled within the trees and our unit had a lovely tree shaded deck. We were able to eat breakfast and dinner outside in complete comfort thanks to the trees (this also made it very private). The cabin was nicely designed and the kitchen was clean and very functional. This is a wonderful place for a getaway. The pools were very clean and well maintained. Check in was fast and easy. The concierge……

“The property needed a cleaning on the inside… cobwebs and overall dust. It seemed that no one had stayed in a while and was left as is. We had to ask the owner for washcloths because they were not provided with towels. WiFi was working half the time and was Roku so limited to watch anything. We will not stay here again but it could be a sweet place if adjusted.”

“The photos of this property do not do it justice- it is absolutely beautiful. The privacy is so nice, and the house itself was wonderful. We had our adult children there for Christmas dinner- and I’m quite sure they will be renting this house in the future. Also the mattresses and linens were very comfortable- which is impressive in any vacation rental. This is a treasure nestled in the country.”
