“We spent a wonderful relaxing week at the Shenandoah Sanctuary. The property was clean and well stocked with everything you need. It’s central location made exploring the Shenandoah Park and other attractions very manageable.”

“Very impressed with this cozy cabin getaway on the beautiful White Oak lake. Dana was easy to communicate with and made our short stay so peaceful and comfortable with plush beds and fully stocked bathroom and kitchen. The view of the lake is breathtaking! It was just perfect!”

“We stayed 4 nights during Easter. It was perfect. We love the Lydia Mountain location. This was our first time at this cabin with our daughter and dog. Our favorite. We love exploring Stanardsville, Alun’s pottery place down the hill, the Shenandoah caverns, and of course, all the hikes we did. The cabin was perfect for lazy mornings of coffee and breakfast on the deck overlooking the mountains. Evenings ended with dinner, wine, and hot tub after our adventures. “We originally reanted a different cabin. However i have physical limitations that made the booking difficult. The staff worked with us to get us a different cabin and we had a wonderful 30th anniversary vacation. ”

“We loved the great-room just off the dining/kitchen area, as well as the boat dock for lounging and kayaking. Used the patio for grilling and campfire with s'mores. The location at the north end of the lake is a convenient launching point for area attractions. Couldn't really use the spare sitting room as a bedroom, but fortunately we didn't need it. Had a few minor issues, but the owner/host was very responsive. ”

It was just as nice spending time in the cabin as it was hiking in Shenandoah and exploring nearby Orange. The entire weekend was such a nice escape from the city.
