“We loved the great-room just off the dining/kitchen area, as well as the boat dock for lounging and kayaking. Used the patio for grilling and campfire with s'mores. The location at the north end of the lake is a convenient launching point for area attractions. Couldn't really use the spare sitting room as a bedroom, but fortunately we didn't need it. Had a few minor issues, but the owner/host was very responsive. ”

“The log cabin is beautiful, beds were all comfortable and linens were very nice. Kitchen was well stocked. All of the windows were very dirty which was disappointing as the views were poor from the windows. And a few cobwebs in several corners. ”

The kitchen had all the supplies we needed for meal prep and the location is quiet and conveniently located to reach Shenandoah NP and some local wineries.”

Before we even got there, the host reached out and communicated with me to make sure I had all the information I needed to ensure a smooth check in. He even went out of his way to get me the info because my email wasn't working. When we got there, everything was clean, neat, and tidy. “My partner and I had a lovely time. The location and even the drive to it was absolutely gorgeous! No crazy roads to to drive straight up, just a winding gravel road into the forest. There was no phone service as listed, unfortunately we did have an issue with there being no active emergency phone line. It looks like this is something that the host wants to resolve by the next visit, but might be worth checking in about. Though this lack of access was nerve-wracking, we were able to use the……

“The perfect place to stay if you are interested in hiking the mountain trails. Literally a hop skip and jump to the trails. Such a beautiful area to stay in. The place is well maintained, clean and has everything you need. Comfortable and convenient. I will be booking this place to stay many many more times!!”
