“What an incredible property! The home itself is stunning, only to be outdone by the breathtaking views. It was the perfect escape from the city. We enjoyed the ability to explore Luray (recommend Broad Porch Coffee) which was a convenient 20-25 minute drive away. But we really appreciated all of the amenities included at the property: fire pit, hot tub, grill and comfortable lIcing spaces. ”

“If you want to be off the beaten path away from civilization this is the place for you! Don't stress about the drive up the hill to the house, it is steep but not terribly difficult. Just take your time. Amazing views and fun to explore the property, there is a small stream down the hill. ”

“We loved our stay here! We walked to White Oak Canyon, that was by far my favorite hike. Super easy check in, everything was as described. Plenty of towels, sheets, pillows. We had to use the heat and it worked great. Beautiful property. We would stay here again. ”

“We stayed 4 nights during Easter. It was perfect. We love the Lydia Mountain location. This was our first time at this cabin with our daughter and dog. Our favorite. We love exploring Stanardsville, Alun’s pottery place down the hill, the Shenandoah caverns, and of course, all the hikes we did. The cabin was perfect for lazy mornings of coffee and breakfast on the deck overlooking the mountains. Evenings ended with dinner, wine, and hot tub after our adventures. Listening to the stream below and……

“This property was an amazing cabin getaway. The views from the windows were simply stunning. It was quiet and secluded. The house has everything needed. Hiking and the national park were a reasonable drive. The town of Elkton was great with small shops and restaurants as well as anything needed like groceries. James was an excellent host. Communication was great. Overall, highly recommend staying here. ”

“Beautiful property, big yard, really nice space. Quick drive to the Thornton Gap park entrance. This was a great place to rest and relax after exploring the park all day. Nice kitchen, with everything you need. We had no cell reception and there is no WiFi (fine with us), so we relied on board games & cable TV for entertainment, which was plenty. ”

“I wanted somewhere quiet in the woods with a hot tub to do some much needed recharging and reflecting. Everything was clean, everything worked, and when I had a transportation issue, management was able to help me get assistance in such a remote area. This place is short listed for my future getaway needs. Great space and people!”
