“The cabin was the perfect way to spend a weekend getaway. The views at sunrise and sunset were to die for. It was just as nice spending time in the cabin as it was hiking in Shenandoah and exploring nearby Orange. The entire weekend was such a nice escape from the city. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.”

“My partner and I had a lovely time. The location and even the drive to it was absolutely gorgeous! No crazy roads to to drive straight up, just a winding gravel road into the forest. There was no phone service as listed, unfortunately we did have an issue with there being no active emergency phone line. It looks like this is something that the host wants to resolve by the next visit, but might be worth checking in about. Though this lack of access was nerve-wracking, we were able to use the……

“One (probably the smallest) of several lodgings on the property. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. The whole unit has a subtle sway to rock you to sleep. Personally, I loved it. We stayed in 90 degree weather and the A/C was a LIFESAVER. My only real complaint was one of the other guests in the castle kept leaving the common kitchen a bit messy. Thinking about coming back and trying the hobbit house. We pretty much kept to ourselves, but there are plenty of common areas to hang out.”

“We had a great time and would love to stay here again. The only downside was the boat rental company wouldn’t allow us to take the boat to the house - area was out of bounds for them. But we still had a great time; plenty of room for our family. Host was super responsive and helpful!”

“For our group, Terry’s Run Getaway layout was perfect. A nice big common area for meals and activities, as well as secluded areas to retreat to for some quiet personal time. The games and water sports equipment available resulted in creating fond memories of our family’s stay on Lake Anna.”
