“It was perfect location for Nyepi. Far enough out of town for quiet, nice snorkling right in front of property. Walking distance to Blue Earth yoga center. Staff was extremely attentive, especially Kadek. Kadek's wife gave me my best massage in Bali of my trip so far. Villa was spacious and nice touches like robes and toiletries made it feel luxurious. Not crowded so very relaxed. Made me feel pampered.”

“Ames is a quiet place, you sure can have a relaxation trip here. There are not much shops around, if you know how to ride a motorbike is much more convenient to travel around. The food in the hotel is good, you can join the gym at Griya which is free of charge! But you need to solve the transportation since the shuttle bus is not always available. The staff are helpful and friendly. We do enjoy the trip very much.”

“This is an area of Bali further away from the city. You can still see other tourists wondering, the area is good for diving and exploring. There are restaurants nearby, but no big brands and no Gojek/Grab food delivery. I am a picky eater but I still enjoyed the food at the villa. The staff is friendly and attentive. They seem to appreciate your business. The villa also does motorbike rentals. For bugs, they provide anti-mosquito wicks. I did not get any mosquito bites. There were some……

“Nice room, everything clean & working nicely. Amazing view from room. It's a more classic Bali design, not a modern design but everything worked nicely, good Wifi. Room had terrace overlooking the ocean with a dining room table and lounge area. Amed is a quiet area, but a solid choice. ”

“This place is a great value for the 18 USD i paid. The balcony had a great view of the ocean and this place has two pools. Its right across the street from a restaurant and a 15 walk from a beautiful beach and a small town with many amenities.”

“Our stay at Aquamarine was amazing. The view was unbeatable and the gardens and surrounds topped it off. The Italian restaurant at the top of the hill was convenient and tasty. All the staff were accomodating and friendly. The only thing that could’ve been improved was the water temp in the shower. The water would not stay hot for longer than about a minute; you’d have to turn off both taps and turn it back on again to get the hot water to reactivate. Other than that I couldn’t fault this stay……

“Stayed here last year & liked the cottages & restaurant so we returned this year. Staff at restaurant & house keeper are lovely. Cottages clean, food great & right on the best beach for snorkelling. We saw 2 large turtles & many coloured fish & huge coral around the coral garden not far off shore.”

“Perfect place right by the black stone beach. There are two nice pools with sunbeds and you can watch the sea from the pool and from the sunbeds. The breakfast included in the price is more than enough and taste is good. ”

“This is a family-owned place and the pride of ownership shows. It is spotless, as they are constantly cleaning. Nothing is too much to ask and they will organize whatever you want (such as snorkeling trips, cars, etc). They will do laundry for you at $6 per load. Massages were amazing at $12 per hour. Their chef is just spectacular (lots of people from other resorts were coming to eat) and she will give you a private cooking class at $25 per person, which includes your meal. (Be sure to try her……
